Karl Kübel Stiftung is active in India for over 50 years and we were among the first German philanthropic organizations to engage in development work on the subcontinent.

Since then we implementate more than 180 projects all over India, with an investment of more than 75 million € dedicated to human development.

  • Early phase: Established residential settlements in South India to provide housing opportunities for marginalized communities.

  • Later and ongoing phase: Expanded into development projects focused on child and family welfare, agriculture, health, and environmental sustainability. These initiatives were and still are co-financed by the EU, the German Development Ministry, the federal state of Hessen, multinational corporations, and prominent philanthropical individuals and organizations from Germany.

  • Future phase: Adapting to the evolving Indo-German relations by exploring opportunities for mutual benefit and sustainable collaboration between both nations.
