Documentation "Workshop on HIV/AIDS"

More than 50 participants from 28 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in the field of HIV-AIDS in South India as well as experts and the technical advisor for HIV/AIDS GTZ Delhi, discussed about background, interventions, gaps and challenges in fighting against this devastating disease.

At the end of the workshop a list of recommendations was produced to serve as guideline for the national strategy and action plan. Among others these consider the active involvement of concerned target groups, improved cooperation and harmonisation of intervention strategies at all levels as well as timely funding to stop spreading of the disease.

Beside the extracts from expert and group work presentations as well as concrete recommendations, the English brochure also includes a directory of organisations working in this field in South India.
